Have the drivers for Vista(DX10) improved now or is it best to stay with XP (DX9)?

I am getting a 8800gts 320 in a few weeks so would like to know.

I have googled it and looked at a few sites where DX9 obliterated DX10 but they arent really up to date.

As anyone measured there average FPS say in BF2 on both DX9 & DX10 on one of these cards or anyother game?

The benchmark i looked at made the DX10 look pretty shocking, but again was a few months old.
 
First proper DX10 game comes out in 3 weeks, Vista doesn't run DX9 games in DX10, performance is around the same for me in Vista from XP.
