Hi guys after 3 days checking codecs setting and so on, eventually I found this codec x264vfw and I used it to record few gameplay with a excellent results, I did even a Video tutorial for youtube, and at the end of the day I found that editing the videos in Premiere they basically don't work. O MY GOD I can't believe it, I found a solution of 300 dollars to use the codec in Premiere is just crazy...

Guys can you help me or tell me what can I do, because I love that codec with dxtory works really good, but when I try to edit it in Premiere I can't do it properly is like a mix in there you can't see the video properly everything is mixed and so on, and is because of the codec, because when I watch the video in media player classic is just perfect.

Can someone tell me what can I do, or if there is a solution Thanks...

If you know of another codec that works good I'll take it but I want something reasonable. Not Dxtory's codec 200Gb 5 minutes, is stupid and besides it doesn't work with premiere it let you edit the video but you can't export it.

EDIT: I tried THE CODEC H264 also and is better but it does the same I can't believe it.

Well any help will be grateful. THANKS.

Your post is a bit jumbled, but it sounds like you are missing a codec somewhere.

If however you can get it to play in Media Player as you say, perhaps try converting it to another codec with something like VLC and then try it in Premiere.

It works perfect with other codecs...

This is what it happens with premiere editing...

And then in some part of the video you can watch it perfect. so I guess that is codecs... I'm unistalling premiere let's see if this it fix something but I don't think...

As I said before, if it isn't working in Premiere, use something that will play it back to convert it to a codec that Premiere will play.

Well you don't have much choice in that really do you?

If you can't get a Codec to work with Premiere, you either need to find a Non-Linear Editor that does support the codec, or find a programme that records video game footage which uses a codec which is supported by Premiere.

Otherwise as I said before, just convert them.

Really thanks I'll just wait for a little while, in adobe forums there are two post with the same problem I'll wait one more week and if it doesn't I'll use that codec because is the best one. and I'll work to fin the best way in compressing those files AGAIN. but I don't want to have to convert all the files everytime I make a video... but that's the solution you are right.

May I ask you something?

Which program may I use to compress the videos? I don't want to lose the quality I'm trying with xilisoft HD and is perfect but it loses a lot of quality...

I don't use Windows these days, so I can't perhaps give you the best examples, I've never even heard of xillisoft HD for example.

Most media players offer some level of exporting a file, Quicktime and VLC for example. These have enough customisation to allow you to choose a codec and the quality level and resulting file size.
