I suppose I better sort this out... I've been ignoring it for a while because I really cant be bothered to fix this computer after all the hassle it took to get it working in the first place, but now my workload is calming down I have a bit more time to game, and BF2 is my game of choice.
Basically on BF2, textures seem to become really corrupt. It only seems to happen on BF2, but I also end up with some extreme lag!
I'm running ATITool to scan for artifacts - 60 minutes in and it's not found any yet.
My RAM was replaced a while back. I will run memtest and post the results.
I'll post screen shots of BF2 too, so you can see what I mean by corruption (for now though, imagine the multi-colours of the BBC "technical problems" screen, put those colours in the 'white snow' you get when not tuned in on a TV, but each snowdrop is a small box rather than a dot. That's what the textures turn into, eventually, but without move like 'white snow' on a TV does).
In the meantime, any help in getting me to pinpoint what's causing this problem is appreciated?!
Thanks in advance for any contributions
Bit of a side note;
If I RMA'd this (7900GTX OC) what do you think I would be able to get in return - as I know they don't make this card anymore and I don't want a slower card as a replacement!
It's a BFG card. I have the original invoice... but I'm not the original owner (I bought this off the MM). If I had to RMA would my best bet be to pretend the card was bought as a gift for me, and the name/address on the invoice was to the person who bought it for me?
