Dying privet hedge.

Basically the hedge in my garden looks to be dying. There is 150ft of it and it's my neighbours hedge.

It's right at the bottom of the garden and the dead bits are bone dry and snap off.

Any idea what's wrong? Is it a disease? In the last year it's moved probably 2m each direction. Bit worried that eventually there will nothing left but dead twigs.

Could be honey fungus, you got white fungal growth between the bark and wood usually at ground level.

No cure for, just cut down affected branches & burn them, & ideally grub out the roots & burn them as well, or take to the skip.

It will kill the whole hedge in time.
