Hello, please could someone help me out setting up this dynamic vcore, im having a little trouble getting it stable without putting too many volts through. I found my max overclock using fixed voltage as i figured it would be a more reliable way to find how much power i need, it turns out i need 1.29v for 4.5 ghz. When i turn on dynamic vcore this gives me a default voltage which is 1.17, then i have to turn up dvid untill it reaches 1.29v for a stable overclock. The problem im having with it is when i stop putting load onto the cpu and hte voltage drops to 0.8v it then becomes unstable and drivers start crashing and so on, and it seems the only way to counter this is by adding more dvid. This causes obvious heat problems then at load cause the voltage ends up been 1.38 volts by the time i have the system stable when idle.
The main things i wanted to ask are can i adjust the lower voltage that it uses when idle either through the bios or through a mod to the mobo, and lastly is it even worth using dvid? Im assuming the main reason for it is to extend the life of chip.
Mobo is a z77x-UDH5
Thanks.
