Tricky one here, running an XP SP3 machine and need to install a 3 port Firewire PCI card. XP recognises the new hardware but unfortunately cannot seem to add the drivers to the device.
It shows up in DM as a yellow !, and when attempting to install one of the 3 base XP drivers, it reports back 'Access Denied'.
The card came with a 'Driver CD' but this only contains some cheap bloatware video capture software.
Any ideas please?
Card is PCI-3PFW running VIA VT6308P chipset.
