Hi guys,

I just bought a Dynamode WL-700N-MOD Mini PCI-Express Wireless Network Card from a competitor of OCUK, a picture of which is below (from competitors website):

The only thing is, i didn't notice until i installed it but it only has one aerial connector, whilst the existing wireless b/g card in the Revo has two. The other thing is, although i have a wireless n router (DGN2200) and other devices will can connect at around 140Mbps, Ubuntu reports on the Revo that the card is only getting a max of 54Mbps...could this be because of only the one aerial? It seems a bit crazy if thats the case at it is labelled as a wireless b/g/n capable of up to 150Mbps.

It looks like the actual chip is an Ralink RT3090 (at least that's what Ubuntu reports), so can anyone tell me should i have two aerial sockets on it, and why i can only get a max of 54Mbps even if i'm right near the router?

Thanks...hope this makes sense...

Depending on model of wireless card and bands it supports generally :-

1 aerial connection gives 54mbps
2 aerial connections gives 150mbps (unless its a B/G card you get 54mbps)
3 aerial connections gives 300mbps (unless its a B/G card you get 54mbps)
(Similiar as to wireless N routers have 3 external aerials.)

Only thing I can think of is it needs a special aerial. I bought a wireless N card and it had two aerial sockets and gives me 150mbps speed.
