Just had dryno run to check bike wasn't running lean after few mods... all seemed ok, though was running lean at tickover which they sorted for me.

Here is video, sorry about quality... not full power run here as I got too scared to run camera :), standing next to bike on full chat with flames leaping out of cans was not a experience that is fun :D

Result for today was a dissapointing 159bhp at wheel, but not run on this dyno before so don't really care much, bike feels ok thats all that matters.

Bike is running rich everywhere so might have to get a new map made from scratch.. £140 quid is abit to much probably for gains to be had though.

Top speed recorder after run was 173mph, lower gearing really kills top speed :(

Time to update the sig then :)

hah yeah maybe... main thing is I aint gonna burn holes in pistons, plus I like the flames and backfires, not sure I want to tune them out :)

one nugget of info from the tuner was to run optimax, he said it would lean out engine and get quite abit more power... never tried it in a bike before.

159 bhp:D.....another 20 and you will be with me....mind you, i have 300 cc more than you:D...and before you ask, my bike has been on the dyno;)

Never heard of the optimax mod before though but my bike is 10 years old now.

stock Busa only pulls about 160 at wheel, what you have done ?, thats quite a lot :D (I've owned one ;))

edit: 179bhp is near on 200 at crank

Custom map, airbox mods, sealed airbox ram feeds, injector filters out, clutch slave mod, full TI force titanium system and PCIII etc:D.....bike made 200mph timed at woodbridge...but not with me onboard:D....thanks to Lorne Baker for putting it together, doing all the work and then selling it to me

thats mental :eek::eek:

Just over 206mph...i just checked..bike is retired from straightline stuff now though...fun transport for me and the wife.

I thought the whole big thing about the busa was it was like the worlds first 200mph bike as standard?

Or am I wrong?

You are wrong. No standard busa has hit 200 mph to my knowledge.

Why was it when it was first released 10 years ago on the front of the mag it said "THE NEW HAYABUSA...200MPH!!!!!!"

Or is that just poxy bike mags for you? :p

heh, i remember seeing 196 on busa speedo down local dual carriageway, but never once for one second thought it was anything near that

felt quick as hell though

Don't the Busa's handle really ropey though?

I know they are really good on the straights, how do they fare compared to say a Blade round a track?

just a little tip if you blip the throttle when your letting off flames wont come out its due to petrol thats not burnt igniting later ofc. theres a reason why it dosent normally happen on the road but i forgot. 159bhp isnt too bad what have you had done ? personally i would do the folowing.

throttle bodies ?
powercommander
the race fit exhaust systems look amazing and make you fast and extremely loud edit:// this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIrbgKXuRvo
white boots ofc they add 20 mph to top speed :P

thats all i would do unless your planning on playing with the actual engine if so

make every hole that is this big --o-- to this big -0- :P

bike is quite stock engine wise, so usual stuff

cans
exhaust valve pinned open
decat
bmc filter
secondaries off
tre

best mods that change the way it drives so far have been 1/5 throttle and 16t front, they were worth 50 butt bhp lol

i'm not that concerned about the 159 on this dyno, on another it read 166.. but dyno's are comparitive tuning tools only, only if it read <150 would I be worried something major was wrong.

the racefit growler is way to loud, it would really annoy my neighbours at 6am every morning, my akra's are loud enough for me :)

i'm pretty annoyed that the fueling is *&^%$£ though, gonna have to shell out on a new map if I want best from bike :(
