Dyson air cooler - AM07?

I recently bought this one from Costco. So far I've used the heat function so I'm looking forward to see how the cool function keeps up if/when temperatures start to rise. :)

Never used one. I’m a bit skeptical on how it actually cools and gets rid of the heat?

Do Dyson fans cool the air? Dyson fans don't actually cool the air like an air conditioner. They do generally make a room feel cooler because of the smooth airflow they create. So they'll do a better job of cooling you off than a traditional fan, but they don't replace air conditioning on a hot day.

So it’s just a gimmick.

Dyson is 1p to run per hour approx, just checking this one and reviews say its £1. Also need to factor in the water and extra things.

if you want something like that, Meaco seem to come close aswell in terms of performance (looks however...)

The Dyson is 1p per hour because it's literally just a fan. It won't cool at all, it's just. A. Fan.

The AC unit actively removes heat and vents it outdoors.

Skipped through it and results as expected.

Just really clever marketing and/or false marketing, I think there should be things in place to stop that type of naming. It’s also a grey area with the whole ‘cools’ you. No it doesn’t. It just gives the sense that it’s cooling you and that’s probably why they’re allowed to market it as that.
