Dyson V15 advice?

I bought a v15 animal the other day, it's my first cordless vacuum. On carpets on auto setting the torque drive cleaner head struggles to spin (if at all). It will only on low setting on carpets, is that normal?

Normal on our v11 on thicker carpets, it doesn’t need much suction to clean though.

im sure on our V10 animal, on max (or any settings) the carpet rotor still rotates fast as it should

My v11 9n max can't spin the brush on thicker carpets nor can you move it. Need to open up the little flaps at the front to release some suction for it to work or use auto.
