E-Bike Display?

I recently bought this E-bike from the Forest

`Fairly` cheap and does what i want,mostly cycling about the lanes and along the sea wall
I am now finding that i would like more options on the display.
i.e. i would like a few more power assist levels as i am finding 3 too fast some times
It has a green WP 5 pin connector to the display
Finally my question....Can i get a different display with more power assist options and would this work?

I would assume it is because people don't know the answer, there are very few ebikes in here and this is a very specific question to those with ebikes and have gone through what you're asking. ie needle in a haystack.
 
I would be very surprised if it was as simple as plugging in a new display. The motor may only be programmed to allow 3. The big manufacturers will issue updates to their systems but parts between generations, even with the same interface are usually incompatible.
