E-mail storage, would this work?

Ok i don't want to start messing with email servers and the like at the moment but i would like to be able to use outlook express on 3 different machines but all seeing the same emails, so i thought if i had my email save folder on the server and just pointed each machine at that folder would it work or does the save folder have to be on the same machine as the copy of OE that you are using.

Oh just a note that only one machine would be using OE at one time.

Any thoughs would be welcome cheers.

If only one machine is accessing it at a time, then it should work fine, i had it setup like that back when OE5 was new and i didnt seem to notice any issues. However you would need to make sure that all computers ran exactly the same version of OE otherwise you could find yourself in a really bad state.

Ideally your looking for an email account that offers IMAP, as this would do exactly what you wanted and more.

Some email providers already offer IMAP vs POP3 such as NTLWORLD and probably a few more, they just dont mention it that much.
