i have been giving a laptop and know it needs a 1 gig ram putin in but when cum to turn it on the is a password comes up on it there away to reset the laptop as i have took the battery out to see if it makes any difference as it has not done any thing the password still cums up on the screen , is there away to reset the whole thing

Theres no way to reset the bios/startup password on this model, its replacement mainboard unfortunately.

Whats the exact model number printed on the label underneath? you could try googling that and bios password removal, but I'm pretty sure no one will have the answer, bios passwords are there for a reason and most of the information is kept to authorised service centres and even then some can only be cleared by replacing the mainboard.
