Okay, as what the title says I want to know whether my OC is stable for 24/7 use.

e2180 @ 3.36Ghz (420x8)
vCore: 1.47
NB: 1.41
SB Core: 1.12
SB: 1.55

Right, I ran OCCT for 8 hrs 35 mins and passed without any errors.

Is my volatage too high for 24/7 use:confused:

BTW, Idle/Load: 25/50 Celcius. Cooled by Akasa Nero

Thanks guys!

I think with those temps it should be fine, I thought it was just the Wolfdales that you weren't supposed to put above 1.4v? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

To be fair, even if it gave up in 6-8 months a replacement is pretty inexpensive. They can be had for about £40 iirc? Love my 2180, as kppanic said: its one tough little CPU.

If it's stable it's stable, if you can live with the voltage, keep it, it'll still have at least 2 years in it probably, the motherboard would probably die before the CPU.

I ran my last e2160 @ 3.6ghz on 1.53v 24/7 with no issues.

That was under an Ultra 120 Extreme and later water.

Temps pushed to around 75c under the true which was fine.

Cheers for the replies guys, I think I'm gonna leave it there. I'm still not ready to fry any of my components as this is my first ever build.

@cjph
I use an aBit iP35 Pro with BIOS v17
