Hi All

I got an E2180 on an ASRock 4DualCore currently running at stock.

I have never OC'ed before but want to give this CPU a small tweak (maybe to 2.4ghz?) I have 2 x 1gb of GeIL DDR2 at the moment.

I am keen to keep the same stock cooling and ensure the system stays stable

Where do I start??

What Geil ram is it? Been awhile since i had a E2180 but you should get 2.4Ghz no worries on the intel cooler. Stick core voltage to like 1.32v and the fsb to 240. Then stress with a program like prime for 8 to 12 hours. if it passed and temps keep nice your good to go. Then as long as it passes either keep pushing up the fsb in small amounts then testing while watching temps or if your happy with the speed start to lower the voltage untill it becomes unstable then up it a notch. If you got a better CPU cooler then you can prolly get it to 3.2Ghz nice and stable for 24/7 use.

This was my set up for 3ghz but watercooled but not stable as it was just a test.
