Is the E4500 worth the extra over the E2180, both as non overclocked to start with. Mainly would be used for office stuff, but also music ripping and transferring video from DV camcorder to PC then working on it using Ulead 10.

Non overclocked to start with, that not to say that they will not be in future.

Problem is I work in London (tiny tiny rented flat) and the PC is up in Cumbria so time at the PC is limited.

The E4500 has 2 mb of cache which will be benafitial when video encoding but it is £20 more expensive.
Both are fast when using video and very fast when overclocked but the E4500 will have the edge.
