E2180 Vs E6300 in games

Ive got a 2180 waiting to go in a machine but have been seeing some very decent clocks with this chip, i may replace my E6300 with the 2180 as i reckon i could get it above the 3.4 my 6300 is at. Im on decent water so heat isnt an issue, the question is would the smaller cache on the 2180 cause an issue with games performance. I dont do much video encoding so that shouldnt be an problem.
What do the experts think.

Tests done seem to suggest that Cache doesnt have much of an impact performance wise when it comes to games.
