Ok so as it says, I can't get my E2180 to overclock unless I set the voltage control to auto. Now normally I wouldn't mind it, because it's givin the cpu just under 1.3 volts at £Ghz (the figure I'm aiming for), but after a while (say, half an hour or so), the system either blue screens if I'm running 3dMark, or just freezes (if I'm doing anythin else).

Now I think this a stability problem, but when I set the voltages to manual and manually set the voltage to 1.3 volts, the system boots, then stops, then boots again for an even shorter amount of time, then stops, and when it boots again after that, all the OC setting i made to the voltage and FSB hav changed and I'm back to the stock Ghz.

Now this only seems to happen when I set the voltage controls to manual, which shouldn't really be a problem, but my board doesn't seem to like it. Anyone got any ideas on how I can get it stable at 3Ghz without using the auto voltage controls? Maybe I might need to update my BIOS? (if i can figure out how lol :))

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (F4 BIOS)
CPU: Intel E2180, Stock@2Ghz, Stock FSB@800Mhz
RAM: 2Gb (2x1Gb sticks) Corsair dominator, 5-5-5-18

If you need anymore info guys, just say.

Thanks a bunch lads

needs more jiggawatts!

Lol by jiggawatts I guess you mean voltage :D I'd give it this, but any time I set it to manual, after the multiple reboots it seems to do it just resets it back to auto and to my stock FSB. I might update the BIOS when I figure out how.

Anyone else know how to stock the mobo goin back to the default FSB values?
