Ive just sorted my new system had a go at some clocking currently im running my [email protected] on stock volts using 8X395.

Has anyone had anyluck at getting to 3.2 without pushing a shed load of volts through them, my chip can boot into windows sometimes at 3.2 with the volts at 1.325 but i cant get it stable.

System is

Ga-P35-DS3L
4GB Ocz 6400 Ram
BFG 8800GT@stock

DDR volts +0.1
MCH volts +0.1

Also im getting 3dmark 06 score of 10677 does that look right

The E21*0 chips vary drastically. Some need well over 1.4v for 3.2ghz, whilst some can do it on a little over stock volts (and stock volts can range from 1.25v to 1.325v).

The E2180 I'm playing with atm can boot into Vista at 3.1ghz with only 1.265v, but needs 1.43v to be Orthos stable at 3.3ghz. Then it jumps to 1.55v for 3.5ghz.

My old E2140 was rock solid at 3.45ghz and only 1.47v.

Agreed. My E2200 was working fine with 9 hours of priming at 3.00ghz with:

273*11
1.4v

Then yesterday i discovered that the mobo had reset itself to stock settings, and thus 2.2ghz. Trying to figure the right combination to get it back up to 3ghz. No way is it a temp problem, running arctic cooler 7 pr0 + 3 very reliable case fans.

I am thinking about going for an E2180 and an abit IP35-E as a budget way (~£100) of getting to 3.3-3.4Ghz. Seems to be a 50-50 shot of being able to at a reasonable voltage.

I've gone down the same path and my E2180's got to 3Ghz at almost stock volts. I'm going to experiment further this weekend and see if I can get the 3.2-3.3Ghz.

Great value bundle though, I can't see an E2180 not making it to at least 3Ghz tbh.

Had another play around with it, and it doesnt like 3.2

Think i will just leave it at 3.16Ghz and move on to the gfx. Whats the best program to clock BFG 8800GT and what clocks should be aiming for?

I've used either ATiTool or RivaTuner because the nvidia control panel is so shockingly bad. As for clocks, I can't say but if the GT is similar to the GTS you'll probably be seeing around 630 clock and 900+ memory with stock cooling.
