E2200 overclocking

Currently got this chip running at 3ghz@333x9 multiplier on Gigabyte p3 series m/b,if i try to go higher say 340 it refuses to post and then re-sets back to default speed for 9 multiplier (1.8)
I have read the sticky and adjusted voltages and disabled what i have to,just curious if anyone else using the same board had managed to get over 3gig
I have 2 gig of ocz pc26400 as the other stick for now needs to be rma'ed as i it`s faulty,my ram speed is 800.
It works perfectly fine running at 3 ghz just wanted to try a get a little more out of it

The E2**0 range vary wildly when it comes to overclocking, probably more than any of the other Intel range. So comparing voltages is quite futile.

3ghz on stock volts is usually the norm (tho the E2180 I have atm needs 1.33v for 3ghz). Up to 3.2ghz should just need a little more vcore, tho sometimes those chips need a huge vcore boost to get to 3.2ghz.
 
was testing mine over last few days and mine needs 1.5V bios (1.41 actual) to get to 3 gig :(

its definately FSB limited too .... no matter what multiplier I use I can't go over 300 - no matter the strap etc

300x10=ok
300x9 = ok
300x8 = ok

315 x8 = not ok :( -thats only 2.5 gig - so CPU is deffo has a FSB wall - at just over 300 -305 in fact I think ! not bad for a cheap chip but naff compared to a lot of 21XX overclocking results - but luck of the draw

mine is 1.325 VID one - great :(
 
Mine easily goes over 3ghz, however the required voltage was unacceptable.

So for now mine is sat at 3ghz (300x10) with voltage set to 1.350v, but for example when i tried to set it at 300 x 11 it would only work with the voltage set to auto, which in turn when looking in cpu-z had set the voltage well above 1.5v and temps well looking toasty.

The only thing im concerned about is my memory readings, will have to post that another time as i am at work, but im pretty certain something is going wrong there.
 
My E2200 is a but of a funny clocker too. Did 3Ghz on 1.35V (VID 1.3250) but runs stable at 3.4 with 1.43v. Can get 3.5 out of it but it wants 1.52v and that brings the orthos temps up to 65 degrees.
 
memory readings ? as in CPU-Z or bandwidth

my bandwidth scores are low as the fsb with these chips is low

I mean the readings which come from CPU-z, they are showing a ration of 1:2 and 400 Mhz, timings at 5-5-5-18 (from memory).

I am completely new to overclocking and have tried to work everything out myself as much as possible, but the RAM side of things is confusing the hell out of me.

I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and start a new thread i think regarding all the settings that i have etc.

Have you tried 8 x 400?
