Quite a nice showing from Microsoft, however most of the games don't interest me and GOW2 is still the only one from the list that I want, new dashboard looks better though.

The HDD installs are nice but there are a few issues i.e. If you're playing multiplayer you'll still have to wait for the none HDD install guys to load the level/game from their disc before you can start. The reduced drive noise is also a bonus, however, my elite has a quiet drive with louder annoying whiney fans. As has been stated earlier and it is true, most of you mocked the PS3's ability to do a similar thing, however when Microsoft do it, it's the best thing ever, tinted specs for the win I guess

Anyone claiming FF13 will get the Japs to buy a 360 are dillusional.

As for what sony will announce Today, Killzone 2 & Resistance 2, GOW 3, perhaps a new SKU with bundled DS3? Hopefully downloadable PS2 games, a couple of surprises will be needed to woo the crowds.

It wont get the Japanese to buy a 360 as FF13 isnt coming to the 360 in Japan and Asia, only in the west.

The point is its an xmb-media centre-mii dash. It does look a hell of a lot better though! The current dash is a bit meh.

Unless I'm missing something; 1) how do you get that messenger pop-up shown on the first screen. 2) I don't have those images on the "sections" (Games, Media, Demos etc) :confused:

and thats what I was referring to. The whole point of the 360 was that you didn't have to play dress up with virtual charactes. Its funny how home got shot down but this new 360 avatar thing is cool. Personally, I hate both home and this.

They are old pics of the dash and the MSN box only comes up if you are using the messenger pad.

ah right, gotcha, thankx for clearing that up.

As for the new version, I like it apart from the Avatars

I want it but keep my Gamerpic - I am quiet surprised, as it currently is Microsoft (and studios) make money from Gamerpics and Themes, I can't see people spending points on the Avatars :confused:

Am a little worried about Mirrors Edge. It looks fantastic, but I am hoping there is some way to disable the red markers, or make it less obvious what to do next, as it seem sit will make it too easy.

Also, that gameplay video that showed when she was being shot at - she runs right up to the guy, he is shooting, but doesn't hit her once?

As interested as I am, I won't be picking that up on release. Will let other people be the guinnea pigs

Who said it was cool, I posted in here is was gay and I dont want it, shame you cant turn them off and have the new style dashboard.

You are trying to find faults that every gamer in here knows thats rubbish and not aimed at gamers like us.

Apparently your Gamer Pics and Themes wont be made useless and can still be used with the new dashboard.

Your Old Stuff...
...will still work in the new interface. The gamerpics and themes you downloaded will work with NXE. And while we didn't get to see it in action, Marc Whitten swears they look "beautiful" on the new interface.

You probably still need an avatar created for the community parties and all the associated stuff but can pick and choose on the Gamer Card. I think the avatar system will turn out a lot more fun to some people than they want to admit now.
