Looking for all round opinions on this car.

Ive been offered one through a mate for £500.

Its a 1989 model, 2 door 320i in MINT condition. Im truly amazed how well kept it is.

I have no real need for it, but it also comes with a private plate.

I was wanting a track car, but this seems too good to track?

Opinions?

Well, it's not an ideal candidate for tracking anyway as it's a 320, with the smallest straight six - so it's got the lowest power 6 cylinder, with the added weight.

Try for a used 325i, or a tatty 318iS - much better candidate and you won't have any hard feelings about it :)

A useable 318iS can just about be had for ~700 quid and that has better suspension, great engine, etc etc...

The 320i sounds like a nice decent e30, indeed too good to track imo.

I'd buy it , tart it up and sell it in the specialist BMW press, which brings me nicely onto last months (June 2007 edition) copy of BMW Car magazine, which has a great write up on all things e30. - Well worth ordering a back issue if you can't find a copy locally.... :)

As said above, the 323 / 325 is where you should be looking for an e30 track day toy perhaps, dare I say, a shabby e30 M3? pricey but great on the track!

I click that link and there's an E46 on the page in Arizona Sun

Even MORE importantly I think it has Arizona Sun interior too!!!

Can anyone make out the reg plate - W449 MCF doesn't seem to be valid :\

W448MCF perhaps?

Looks like its (the number ) been smudged out with paintshop or similar.
