Can anyone give me some useful tips on how to change the Hedgehog (Final stage resistor) on the E36.

I just cannot locate the bleeding thing..

I have literally been upside down in the drivers seat with my head under the pedals looking for it but can't seem to find it !! :p:D

Thanks !

It's not that simple.

You have to take different bits off and actually bend backwards with your head under the pedals apparently to reach up behind the heater matrix..

No pedals on passenger side..

I'd be interested to hear from someone who has actually done it..

Ok after much faffing around and being a total noob when it comes to taking things apart and putting them back together again, I finally managed to change the hedgehog !

It was indeed located on the passenger side, and in the end took me 10 mins to change. Also managed to do my Pollen filter as well ! Go me... for some reason the previous owner decided not to put one in ?

Anyways, im feeling very proud of myself now. I now have a very powerful dual climate control system working perfectly :D
