E39 530d Phone SIM card location?

Anyone know where a mate should stick his simcard

p) for his phone in his 530d. Me and a mate looked, and pretty much pulled the phone apart with no success...

Figure its in the base station? or somewhere else?

Anyone?

Looks like a 1980s Miami Vice effort, which sits on the centre console under the drivers left elbow... 2002 year model.

Ah, I know the one you mean, but I don't know the answer.. the only ones i've seen used are the motorolla one with the stretchy cable and the later bluetooth+snapin combo.

Actually.. have you had a butchers in the boot? I think the old 7 series setup had the SIM holder in the boot.

It probably takes a full size sim (credit card size) if it's anything like my old 540i. Under the hand-set, there should be a little piece of plastic that flips up when the hand-set is removed. This is the sim holder.
