E39 tyre size

mine has 17" with 235 45 17 all round.
i have a question about staggered, are all four alloys the same size or are 2 of them bigger to accommodate the 255 40 17 tyre ?

Cars that had staggered tyres had staggered wheels also.

Certainly was the case with my E46, you'd never have got the rear tyres on the front wheels

The staggered 17 inch setup had wider rear wheels, yes.
