Has anyone tried this yet?

If so can it do 2.7GHz 9 x 300?

Thinking about trying this myself, using 1Gb Corsair XL DDR PC3200 RAM

Any Thoughts?

In a dual vsta? I doubt it. They don't like overclocking. But then I haven't checked the thread since I sold mine in November, perhaps better BIOS updates have made it possible.

So see why not.

This chip will destroy a FX 62 lol on a 35 quid asrock for 140 all in! :D

Looks worth a try to me; should be better than my x2 3800 @ 2.65GHz in a Ultra D ;)

If I can get £100-£110 for the above; looks like a cheap upgrade

Ah just realised the 4300 has a 9x multi. In which case it could be possible. But I couldn't get any more than 2100ghz outta my 6300 on the vsta so I sold it.

The E4300 and 775DUAL-VSTA are a perfect combination and I can vouch for this personally. :)

Haven't had a lot of time to play with it so far, but I've got it stable @ 2610MHz so far (9 * 290). I set the Orthos dual core test running last night on blend mode and this morning it was still ticking away with 9+ hours of no errors. I'll probably leave it at that to be honest, it's plenty fast for me coming from a clocked Barton Mobile!

I'm in the same position, coming to the VSTA/E4300 from an overclocked 1.8 mobile on an NF7-2.

I'm at 295 at the moment, at 2655.9MHz to be exact, and nearly had a heart attack when my temps got up to 85 under Orthos. Quick reset of the heatsink later and I'm at 37 with the stock heatsink/fan and well chuffed.

If anybody wants any benchmarks run, once I've ran Orthos overnight, and I'm happy I'm stable, I can do some.

And this is my first post, so hi everyone.

VERY nice to hear!

I have the Vsata myself and have been waiting for some results. Cheers guys.

May have to look at ordering one of these myself.

Out of curiosity what ram are you running?!

Haven't touched the RAM settings at all yet, I'm just running 2x512 sticks of no-name DDR 3200.

20 degrees at idle can't be right can it???

Nope unless you've been exhiled to the garden shed :)

Probably still be able to tell what ram it is from the module name if provided by everest but not to worry - for what it's worth its cheap unbranded goodness which is all I need to know :)

PS Are you running it async or at 333 as some people are suggesting

Thanks in advance
