At work we are about to replace some pretty old computers that are used for video editing and 2D graphical work. We are currently have a E4300 in the test setup but have been wondering if we should get a E4600 instead as there is less than a tenner in it.
They will not be overclocked or used for gaming, but will be used for video editing, 2D CAD work and photoshop.
Any ideas. Is it worth it?
 
They aren't really pushing CAD and photoshop really that hard. And when you ask them what they want, they ask for something that would kick my gaming computers butt!
Baring in mind aswell that this setup is based on a Dell Optiplex 320 system. So ati chipset on a dell mobo and 2GB unbranded ram in a BTX case.
