Hi,

I just wanna play around a bit with another cpu as my E2160 needs a lot of voltage @ 3.2Ghz, won't allow a lower multi at higher fsb and I can get two of them pretty cheap.

E4400 2.0 Ghz (L2) does 3.2Ghz @ 1.23v ( the guy says he hasn't tried it further ) I have a screenshot as proof.

E4600 2.4 Ghz (M0) ( no idea about overclock )

What do you reckon, should I pay the 5 pounds more for the E4600 and just try? I like the x12 multi, but ofc x10 is ok also ;)

It's pretty ok right... but I dunno about the L2? M0 would be better?

This is the screenshot he gave me:

3200mhz.jpg

That screenshot only proves that he can boot into windows at that speed and voltage, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's stable.

I myself would go for the e4600 (M0) (assuming the price isn't much different...)

Ok thanks for the input guys, I guess you are right about the screenshot that it doesn't prove it to be prime stable... I think I'm gonna go for the E4400 as the E4600 guy wants a bit more for it now and the E4400 is lapped aswell... New toy in two days, yaay :D Hope I can push it to 3400 / 3600 stable on my rig, have a Scythe Infinity with good airflow :)

Thread can be closed if wanted, thanks guys.
