I have the choice between then two, which is better and more suited for general use with occasional gaming?
Going towards the cheaper, no over clocking is going to take place at all.

Well I thought why not give my e6300 to my brother and get a E8200, then thought for a bit more get a quad core, then got a 620w corsair aswell and then had to stop myself getting 2gb more ram, which has now gone on offer 2 hours after I bought it :( wonder if i can get the differance back ?

If it hasn't been shipped there's a big chance they'll refund you the difference I think. I've seen quite a few people on here who had success phoning them.

RAM is so cheap now no reason not to go for 4Gb even on 32bit OS.

Yep, sounds crazy, the first thing im going to do after windows reboot is whack the FSB up to 333 and it should work at stock volts at 3GHz and then see how far I can push it without upping the volts.

I dropped OcUK a webnote last night at about 10, and Today, no quibbles they refunded the differance as the RAM went on "This week only" a few hours after I purchased it.

Amazing Service :D Going to go for 2Gb more now and run 64 bit XP :D
