Has anyone made this jump as I have the E4500 in a Dell and wondered what the CPU upgrade would do for my performance?

Will be coupled with an 8800GT already in there.

Cheers.

It's a Dell so I assume everything is running at stock.....therefore I'd imagine there'd be a nice significant jump in performance.

I'd make sure the motherboard supports it first though...

Hehe - someone called Major Disaster telling me to go for it!

There's something funny about that...

Gonna go from a E4400 to a Xeon E3110 which basically is a E8400 this weekend! Will let you know the performance.

Any news?

Any idea if the stock cooler for the 4500 will fit the 8400?

It's a dell so no overclocking, if it fits, the stock cooler should be fine yeah?

Aye! It's great, if you are going from E4400 at stock it will be REALLY great :)
