E46 330ci tyre pressures

I dont beleive its listed online anywhere so the only way to get this information is for somebody else to take the trouble to go out and look up the pressure info on their own car. For my 530i on 18's it's 2.3 bar front, 2.7 bar rear but I've no idea whether this is the same for the 330Ci.

Alternatively when you go to pump up the tyres on said car, or you tell the owner how to, then simply.. open the door and read the pressures off yourself, as they also vary depending on car loading as well. I just cannot think of a situation whereby you wouldnt be able to do this and would therefore need somebody to go and look for you. If you dont have access to the car then you wouldnt need to pump the tyres up!

If you are still desperate for tyre pressure information on a car you appear not to have access to (otherwise you'd go and read it off) later on then I shall go and read them off the Z4 which has the same wheel/tyre combo, but again I would imagine it might be slightly different to a 330Ci. Should give you a ballpark figure, though.

I'll bite.

Why would you possibly want to know the tyre pressures for a car that you won't ever actually have access to, and thus wont need to pump the tyres up on?

Even if you've got a set of 330Ci alloys to go on something else the pressure probably differs depending on the car so the 330Ci pressure isnt much use.

If its advice for somebody else who DOES have one, they can... read the sticker.

I really dont get it. Confusing request is very confusing.

Someone spurting out questionable information (advice on tyre pressure to a 330 owner), and I wanted to check if he was talking ******** or not. Going by the figures in Gaygle's thread, he almost certainly is, as he is recommending 3psi less on the front and 6psi less on the back for tyres that have sidewalls made of jelly.

Under normal load, the fronts on my 330 were 2.4 bar (35 psi) and the rears 2.9 bar (42 psi).

Under extra load, the fronts were 2.9 bar (42 psi) and the rears 3.4 bar (49 psi).

I ran the rears on the extra load pressure when I drove quite a long way with 4 people and luggage, and it kept the car feeling quite nimble!

Every time I had my tyres changed, the fitters would pump every tyre to 30 psi. It felt so saggy on those pressures.
