E46 engine code fault

Lo folks,

Just got my diagnostic thingy this morning, plugged it in and the only fault code shown is P1620 Cooling Control Circuit Signal High.

Im going to assume its something to do with thermostat, should i be worried ?

Car takes a matter of minutes to head up from cold, never budges past centre even after a 200 mile trip up the m5.

And yeah it is a 6cyl engine.

As its the only issue im getting with the car I will look for a replacement thermostat and see if I can fit it myself rather than pay for an hours labour.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Mmmm sounds a little bit too much for me to do then as I only have the jack in the boot. Car is due inspection 2 in a couple months time so maybe wait until then or is it worth getting fixed ASAP.

I'll give a few bmw dealers a ring tomorrow and get a quote, been told to avoid Ocean BMW in paignton so any recommendations for either a specialist or dealer ?

Car originally came from Westerly Exeter BMW if that will win any brownie points with em.

Plymouth or Exeter are fine. Exeter prefered but otherwise not a problem, depends on how long they need the car.

Ok cheers for that Fox will call him tomorrow. If its only an hours work can go shopping while im in plymouth.
