This is a bit of along story but here goes:

Bought a 2004 E46 M3 which I have fully enjoyed for the last 28 months I have been the owner for. It has had the inspection 2 service done as part of the purchase price and has recently been in for the next oil serivce.

As part of the service they got me a good deal on two rear tyres at £200 each pilot sports 2 fitted.

Since then one has lost tyre pressure every day to the point that if I leave it two days then its basically flat. So did the normal and took it to be checked out for a puncture but there is not one, what there is is that the wheel looks like it has been welded and at the point of the weld there is a gap casusing the the tyre to deflate. This has not been a issue until a bmw dealership replaced the tyre.

It looks like the wheel has been corrected prior to them selling me the car which was pretty much perfect apart from this fault. It has never been a issue prior to them replacing the rear tyres, the dealer wants nothing to do with it and says that I have had it welded. This is not true as the wheels were perfect when I bought it and still are;.

Has anyone had a similar experience ?

Just the way you want to be treated when you own one of their top of the range cars :/
That's really poor, I'd be making a complaint about that.

tell them to shove it. is it a main dealer?
if they want nothing to do with it then take your business elsewhere

The problem is that it's now 28 months later so I really can't see why they would react any differently. Did you ask them if there was any other type of sealant on the old tyre they took off the welded wheel? If there was then this might account for why it never leaked.

might be easier just to get it repaired

when i cracked one of my 19s it was only £35 or so to get it welded. Just take it to an alloy refurbers and get it done.

If you fancy a fight with the dealer, by all means argue that they've disturbed the repair and are now denying that they sold a car with one. But since its 28 months later i doubht you'll get anywhere

i wouldnt bother over £35. It was welded before and it never bothered you. Dont let it now.
