Hi guys,

sorry for being an idiot, as this may have the most straight forward answer!

basically scanning these forums and there is a lot of talk about the e5200.. but not the e5300. Seeing as it is only £1 more expensive than the e5200 (£62.09 and £63.24) why is this? surely the extra 100mhz speed is worth the £1.00? - I understand the e5200 overclocks well, is this the case for the e5300?

sorry for my lack of knowledge.. lol :( but I am looking to purchase one of these and need to understand if they are basically the same chip or not!

Mainly because the E5300 is new and the price difference was bigger. The E5300 has a 13x multiplier so should (theoretically anyway) clock slightly better than the E5200 with it's 12.5x multiplier. Go for it. You can let us all know how it clocks then. :D
