I'm trying to help my dad pick a PC out from Dell (sorry). Obviously whichever chip I choose will not be overclocked, and he is going to be using it almost exclusively for work and the internet (with a few flight log and gps things thrown in, which require a fair bit of RAM). I'm just wondering if, for this use, which is reasonably cache light, is the e7300 worth an extra £60 for an extra .16ghz?

Personally I would save the £60 if I was him, and maybe put a little bit towards sticking an ATI 3840 in it or something, just in case he wants to use it for anything graphical (like Vista!).

Yep that's what I was thinking-what do you guys think of the value of putting in a cheap GPU? I thought that it may take a little strain off of the CPU and RAM when using Vista, or playing on GPS maps and stuff?
