E5200 question...

Putting together a cheapish/overclocked gaming rig for my girlfriend, we play WoW together...

Now I can get a E5200 for 38 pounds.

If I pair it with a 4850 / 4870 on 1680x1050, would that be enough if I overclock it to let's say 3.0Ghz/3.2 ?

Or would a E6xxx series second hand be better for that? I think the E5200 would be fine right? I had a E2160 @ 3.2 and that was fine... Any thoughts?

.... we both play WoW so it's nice if she has her own desktop next to mine, she now plays on her 17" laptop with a geforce7300, turion x2 52 and 1gb ram, so I'm sitting there on my 26" 1900x1200 with 99999 frames per second and she is stuttering along like a dia show anyway it's not only for WoW...

Hehe, funny really, me and my Gf do something similar on DDO

Her PC even has the same processor as above. These E5200s overclock really easily, I found 3.33Ghz a very nice sweet spot.

Hahah, weird Looking good then the E5200! 3.33Ghz is a nice overclock I'd say for the chip. Thanks for your reply!

I don't know what DDO is but it's really nice to have a girlfriend that likes games as much as you do and doesn't start whining the minute you turn on a computer (speaks from experience...)

Is that New Inc VAT...i searched the net for a while and cant seem to find one for that price inc vat?

I got it from the bay... Hong Kong and they have been pulled from desktops and are used. So I hope all will go well but the seller seems good and I'm using paypal so should be alright
