Hiya all,
ive been building a cheap media pc for the front room and the aim was a silentish build which ive got. However im a bit surprised with the temps of the E5200.
Now ive just upgraded from a stock intel heastink to a asaka one with some arctic silver 5 paste and temps idle at 36 degrees but as soon as I fire up say 3 tabs on explorer 8 the temps are shooting up to around 45 on each core! Is this right?
I think I read somewhere that AS5 needs a bit of time to burn in??
Im a bit out the loop on air cooling as my main rig is watercooled and temps there are always low unless benching or gaming or stressing.
Oh yea its at stock settings to, no oc as my board was a cheapy number with no overclocking options
