is this safe, and is this any good:

C2D E6300
Stock volts
400x7 (2800mhz)
running orthos on it and its maxing out at around 40-42 degrees

chip details:
CPUID 6.F.6
Extended CPUID 6.F
Core Stepping B2

i dont know if those details are ok.... new to this overclocking lark:P but liking it

sorry guys forgot to post the cooling etc.

cooling: 1x 120mm fan in rear of case
1x 120mm fan in PSU
AC Freezer 7 Pro

I am loading both cores with orthos and loading the memory aswell
Left for 1/2hr and once it hit 40-42 area it just stuck there, checking temps using the gigabyte easytune5 program

any of you guys think wiring the 120mm in the front of my case up will bring any cooler temps? havent wired it up yet because my ds3 has only cpu and 1 case fan connecter, currently scrounging for a molex->3pin fan adapter

Use coretemp and check your temps again as Easytune/speedfan etc. aren't as accurate. Front fan should lower temps 1-2c for the CPU and a little more for the HDs.
