im just putting my new board thru its pace's

im running orthos and tbh my NB heat sink is ******* HOT

should i be worried or is this normal

cpu @ 3.15 gig

ive got +0.1v mch

1.296 v cpu v core

+0.2 v ram

nb heatsink is to hot to touch for more than a second

Yeah they get hot if there's no airflow on them.

My DS3P's NB was hot so I re-added a NB block to the loop.

out of interest whats your loop(s) got in them mate, and what are your temps like ?

got any pics of your rig ?

cheers mate

A D-Tek Fuzion with a little XSPC chipset block and a pretty crappy Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme II radiator.

They keep my B3 Q6600 under 70c when Priming @3.5ghz.

sounds like nice water there mate, not sure about adding all that heat to the loop with the nb block tho

was going to put one in my loop but people on a watercooling shop based forum advised me against it

I was going to keep it out til I saw the nb temps. It's certainly no worse than adding a graphics card to the loop.

You could add a little aftermarket heatsink with a fan.

I've got a Swiftech Storm on a Q6600, MCW30 on the NB & MCW60 on a X1800XT all in the same loop.

When gaming and folding CPU temps max out at about 63c.
