Had my DS3 e6300, xt1800xt and 2gb of corsair xms2 6400 cas 4 for about 1 month now, ive tried over clocking a bit and found i couldnt push past 2.3 ghz on vcore of 1.45 with +0.1 on fsb and the chipset, and my ram dimm on +0.3.
I kept getting rounding errors in prime95.
It would super PI fine and boot and loads windows perfectley.
I thought it mite be down to my psu so ive got a new one today a hyper 580 watt modular, and im still getting the same problem
ive disabled things like eist etc etc in advanced bios but it doesnt seem to help, is there anything im missing? Seeing as people have had 2.8 ghz on stock volts its quite annoying now, all i want is 2.8 ghz and then ill be happy! lol
Also what's a safe v.core for the e6300? or does it go by how hot the cpu gets?
Thanks in advance
Benny.
