hi, i'm just wanting to know if a E6300 for £50 would be a good upgrade from a P805D(running at 3ghz) or would i be better waiting a few months for one of the E6850's or something?

thanks

just been reading the toms hardware cpu charts and i guess i have answered my own question :D (well the E6400 vs the 805d)will go for it i think.
will any E6300 overclock to around 2-2.2ghz or are there any duff batches you don't want(this cpu is around 8months old and out of a HP pc)

Your asrock board will probably top out at 300FSB but that still gives you 2.7Ghz :)

yeah 300fsb was about what i could go to.
tbh i'd be happy with 2.2-2.4ghz
still going to be way better than what i have now.

well i got him to take £45 inc for just the cpu in the end :) shold have it towards the end of the week.

veryy happy at that price even if i only run it at stock.

:)
