Spec is E6300 at stock.
2 x 1 gig Geil value
P5NE-sli mobo

What programs do i need to stress test, measure temps of both cores (speedfan is saying 16C with water), make sure both cores are enabled and that sort of thing.
Once thats done and ive cleared away the mess its OCing time.
Cheers

With orthos beta you only need to run one instance. :)
Ive run with 1 and 2.
Im at 2.8 at the mo but Speed fan is reading a bit odd, my CPU is at either 17 or 22C, these are the only temps that i cant account for.
I do have a decent WC set up though.

Coretemp is saying 36C on both cores an hour into Orthos.
What is the 'T junction' Temp? mine says 85C.
Im testing at 3.1 on 1.5V, Chipset still on auto.

Now ive hit a snag, no matter what i try to run the FSB at in the bios, it reverts to 1826 (just under 3.2ghz).
Is it cos the RAM is not linked by any chance?
Temps are fine
3.1 run 5 hours Orthos no probs.

I had to use the easytune software to get my 6300 over 3.2Ghz. Does your mobo come with overclocking utility.
No, are you running the same mobo as me (P5N-E SLI), im sure it will hit a higher FSB than this

No I got the DS4. Pushed the 6300 to 3.4, but can't seem to get to 3.5
Seem to have got past it now, im at 3.25 and gonna test for a little while.
Ive still got the chipset volts on auto and the temps during Orthos are mid to high 30's. im hoping for 3.4 and i'l be happy.
*EDIT*
now on 3.3 and 39C in Orthos.
I'l be happy at 3.4 stable then look to bring the RAM up.
If im stable at that i'l go for lowering the VCore (1.4+1 atm)
