tryed changinging the divider to 3:2 and memoryddr jumped to 1000 +mhz when i f10 and exit it give's the old long beep and nothing so i reset and put it back to 1.1

Just cant seem to get my head round the bios on the 680i have been reading every 680i related post on as many forums as i can find overthe last few weeks, i am happy at 2.87ghz but i would love to get to 3.00 and crack the 6k mark in 3dm06 ;)

is my ram up to running high frequencys or am i just setting the bios wrong

thanks, stinka

e6300s should do 3GHz easly
check your rams getting the right voltages and slack off the timeings a bit (try 5-5-5-18) and or up the voltage.

I may have missed something here...but did you try increasing the vcore?

In the CPU configuration mode have you disabled everything but 'Executive disable bit'?

just tried this still no good, obviously i still leave core 1 enabled?

going to try lower multi as suggested if i get past the hole do i return to normal multi

cheers

tried both of those its no good cant get past 1640bus/830 ddr mabee thats it for this chip

got cpu fsb on auto will raising this make any diff?

cheers, stinka

if i put it to like 450 ish fsb it goes to the windows loading screen and the bar moves up and down then freezes so i have to reset, but if i just try moving up 5 mhz on the fsb from 410 where im stuck at and then f10 and save changes it goes into safe mode  (hope that makes sense)

ive tried dropping ram timings to 5-5-5-15, to acheve that next 5 mhz on bus but no difference

i might just accept defeat :(
