Now, I can get my chip to 2.8ghz easily - but for some odd reason my temps have rocketed by about 5deg (temps where around 55deg load, so I turned it down to 2.6). I turned it down to 2.6ghz, which was fine - but after a day my temps went up. I've now lowered it to 2.4 @ 58deg load (by running 3dmark 2001). My voltage is just under 1.4 I think - what's the lowest I could get away with to [email protected]?

No one can tell you what is the lowest or highest vcore you can 'get away with'. Each CPU is different and therefore you will need to run some stability tests to determine what is the ideal settings for your particular components.

my e6300 will do 3.2ghz with 1.25vcore set in the bios.it does 3.5ghz(500fsb) with 1.4vcore with my ram at 1000mhz 1:1.

but like the guy said, each one is differant so you just have to take pot luck i guess and hope you get a good one.

my board is a asus p5b deluxe with 0804 bios.

Is it just the temps giving you bother?

I was able to clock mine to 3.1 but ran prime and the temps went through the roof!

Got a ninja, now sitting at 3.1 but sits at around 54-56 when running prime, fan on full blast though.

Idle (For what its worth) sits around 40-44.

Voltage sitting on 1.37, and i think i could get more...scared of ruining things though

Yeah, i've got mine at 2.45/60deg load - it seems stable. I'll just leave it now (load was during a CS:S stress test).
