Why does 1.6v worry you ?

Do we really keep these chips long enough that running 1.6v through them damages them ?

Most of us get a new chip every 3 months or so, imo no problem.

Hm, really? +0.3v above stock is a big increase, I didn't put above +0.1v through my Venice/Opterons. Ok, these aren't the same cores but you get the idea, max I think I'll go 24/7 is 1.45v on my Conroe.

Depends on if you Overclock.
No 6600

Yes Read on my friend

I have had nearly 3.6 out of my 6300 running on a DS4 @ 515 FSB. The 6300 really is an amazing chip for the price. You will easy get 3.2G's out of a 6300 and you wont tell a difference between that and a 6300/6600 running at 3.5-3.8 unless you bench them. Bottleneck will be your graphics the 6300 will easily last you until the quad cores come out and even then it will be a while before general software takes advantage of quad cores.

Are people seeing big boosts in games using these new conroe chips. I've been out the loop for a while and seem to remember lots of people were saying the current GPU's were being held back by the CPU. Anyone noticed a big diff!!!?
