E6300 Overclock

Coretemp shows my idles for each core around 39c on stock settings/clocks, I am using the Akasa AK-922 which is meant to be good, are these temps ok to start overclocking with?

what sort of overclock should I aim for stable?

ok, another quick question, when people tell us their idle and load temps in the ocuk forums, are they stating their cpu temp (tcase) or their cores (tjunction) through coretemp etc cause my idle core temps are 42 now on my overclock but that is on the cores (tjunction) my tcase is only 35c.

ok, im just gonna send a screenshot, the cpu hits 50c on coretemp when in games, now is this good or not?

ok run orthos and goes to 55c, i dunno where people get these idle 30c temps from! my case flow is pretty good, all around 120s! shall i lower the voltage and crank up the fsb?

wow, extremely helpful post Darq, i will give it a try now, run for 30 mins and let you know how it goes, i would be happy with 2.8ghz, my room does get hot so i see what you mean about idle temps. cheers

fantastic, im running stable at 2.8ghz, idles on the cores are about 44/43c and its a hot hot day! on orthos (running for two hours now!) cores hit the 56c mark and dont go much higher, i can see it hitting 60c tops on orthos for hours, might try and go a bit higher, im only running at 1.25v aswell!
