Hi,

I have recentrly bought an Asus P5B Deluxe with E6300+stock cooling and 2GB DDR2-800 SuperTalent. Right now my temps are 42-45C idle and I would like to overclock a bit just to see whether its worth the effort.
However, what I mostly enjoy now is that the system is pretty stable, very silent (Antec P180) and not slower than my previous A64 4200+ (rather faster).
Is it possible to overclock with speedstep enabled and all the other power saving features? If yes, could you please give a guide link?
I am also looking for a better cooler which will really drop my temps.

Thank you in advance

100% best way 2 overclock from is in the bios, using 3rd party software in windows can cause loads of hassle.
read the oc sticky, Then read it again, follow step by step, even a slight oc on u system would b very noticable, bet u could get it stable np up to say 2.5-2.8, before u need 2 mess around with voltage, dividers ect.
for cooler, artic freezer pro would do a good job, aint expe, for £20 u could go for the ninja, this is a huge cooler, some dont like the idea of putting almost a 1kg weight on there mobo :D

there loads of info on this board, loads love it from the start, then even more when they brought out updated bios that sorted a lot of probs, atm it the board & cpu 2 have, g/l :)
