E6300 stock performance is equiv to...

Are there any comparisons available for the lowest spec conroe (E6300) at stock settings to other CPUs (6nn, 9nn series Pentiums, AMD X2s etc); most of the comparisons are between overclocked Conroes vs FX-60/62s etc

A Stock 1.83Ghz Conroe is outperformed by a X2 3800 is a few tests, on the other hand its also able to outperform an FX60 in a couple of other tests.

On 'average' though a 1.83Ghz Conroe is somewhere between the performance of an X2 4400, and an X2 4600 in the large majority of benchmarks.

Thats assuming everything running at stock speeds without any overclock. There have been plenty of links to review sites, and some already covered the E6300, and I dont have time to dig up the links again. But Hopefully thats the info you were looking for.

The 1.83Ghz Conroe beats the 3.73ghz Pentium 965 in a large number of benchmarks. Pentium name is the new 'Celeron' hehe. Cheap, and slow.
