Hey,
Have had this E6300 for coming up to two years now. Noticed in BIOS that for some reason the multiplier had set itself to x6 (down from x7). Corrected that, but Coretemp is recording odd results: it says I'm back on x6 (1600.00Mhz) but will occasionally jump to x7 (1866.67Mhz) for a few seconds (only noticed it doing this when I opened up Firefox to write this post
).
I thought I'd made sure to check for any settings on my 965P-DS3 which could regulate CPU usage automatically, but is there a specific option someone could remind me to disable to see if this is the problem? I'm assuming (hoping) that it just jumps back to stock speed during gaming or other such intensive programs, but will this actually be the case?
Thanks in advance.
