Hi,

Recently bought an e6300 week 29a from OcUK. Sadly I can't overclock it yet as I'm waiting for an RMA on some dead DDR2 RAM.

Of course I'm itching to see what overclock I'll get. Anyone overclocked a cpu from this batch yet? What did it top out at?

Thanks,
Philip

Sweet. To get to 3.3 are you fiddling with the ram settings, or the cpu voltage? I.e. just wondering what tops out first! ;)

Got mine a day or two ago (a 6300 29a) running at 3150mhz (450x7) at stock volts(1.32?) and cheap cooler. This is on a DS3 with geil 6400 (5-5-5-15). Load temps 50~53C.

Once i get my water cooling sorted, im gonna try for 3500.

One thing i did notice is with the DS3, it will automatically raise Vcore if you dont set it manually. It wanted to run at 1.42v @ 2.8ghz, once i'd noticed that, and set Vcore to 1.32v, the clocking got easier.

I think my boards topping out, the DS3 has some issues past 450fsb with d9 micron ram
